The wait is over, almost ten years after the release of Test Drive Unlimited 2, the successor is coming. The publisher Nacon has announced the next part of the series: Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown!
After several teasers, the game publisher Nacon has finally confirmed that the company has been working on a completely new part of the TDU series for several months. According to the announcement, the studio KT Racing, which has developed titles such as WRC (World Championship Rally) and Isle of Man TT in recent years, is responsible for the project. As with the two previous TDU parts, there should be an Open World again with TDU 3, which should correspond to a real island, even in a 1: 1 format. Where exactly TDU 3 plays is not yet known.
The competition called “Solar Crown” will also play a major role again, and this time it is even the namesake of the title. There should also be different disciplines here, i.e. asphalt, off-road and race track. At this point in time, we do not know whether there will be any more. In the announcement video there is also talk of in-game character customization options, everything sounds as if fans of the series, which were already believed to be dead, could look forward to a worthy third part. When the game will be available is not yet known, but a Steam page has already been set up. We will keep you up to date.
