JBL PartyBox 100 Test

JBL PartyBox 100 Test

A few days ago, we took a look at its big brother, the PartyBox 310. Today, the PartyBox 100 has to prove itself. As always, we have found out all the weaknesses and strengths for you, so that you can make your purchase decision as easily as possible. After the poor battery life of the PartyBox On-The-Go, we paid special attention to the battery life of the PartyBox 100.

Technical details

The technical equipment of the JBL PartyBox 100 consists of two tweeters with a diameter of 57 millimetres and two woofers and midrange drivers with a diameter of 133 millimetres. The tweeter are tweeters that output the sound in the higher frequency ranges. The woofers, on the other hand, are responsible for the lower tones such as bass.

Battery life

The loudspeaker has a rated power of 160 W. The frequency response is between 45 Hz and 48 kHz. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth range is limited to 10 m. Meanwhile, some other manufacturers offer ranges of up to 30 m. The manufacturer speaks of a 25,000 mAh battery that is supposed to be fully charged in six and a half hours. This means that the speaker takes a similar amount of time to charge as its big brother, the 310.

Sound

In terms of sound, the Partybox 100 from JBL behaves exactly as we expected from the product. The loudspeaker was configured from the start so that all genres can be heard well with it. This results in the typical JBL sound. Many of our readers often ask us whether the speaker has enough bass. This question is difficult to answer, but we can definitely say that the PartyBox 100 offers a good bass with a lot of pressure. However, given the size of the speaker, you shouldn’t expect the floor to vibrate. It is important to remember that you are buying a party speaker. This is not intended for listening to nice music at home. Although the speaker sounds good at home, you can get better devices for this purpose for the money. Overall, we can say that we are really satisfied with the sound of the speaker.

Workmanship and design

The design is very simple, but we still find it beautiful. However, we have to complain about the choice of materials, as the company used a lot of cheap plastic. Considering the price, however, you can understand the choice of material. On the front, there is at least a nice, solid metal grille that protects the speakers. The connections and the buttons, on the other hand, are very well made.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we can say: JBL has brought out a really good party speaker. However, the successor has just come onto the market, which – according to our first impression so far – is not significantly better. Therefore, we currently recommend: If you are interested in the product, keep an eye out for good offers. We will always link you to the current best price below the article.
