Part one of our Computer Basics series, here you will learn the most important things you need to use a computer. Today’s topic is “How to put something on a USB stick”.
We will now explain in a few steps how you can drag a file onto your USB stick. There are three ways to do this.
The three variants of dragging something onto a USB stick
Variant 1: Send file
You can right-click on the file, then click on “Send to” and select the USB stick. This is actually the easiest way to drag a file onto a USB stick.
Variant 2: Drag the file onto the USB stick
Summarised once again: Open the USB stick and the storage location of your file via the Explorer. In the next step, select the desired file by holding down the left mouse button, drag it over the window with the USB stick and release it. Done!
Variant 3: Right click and copy – Left click and paste
With this variant, as with variant 2, you must call up the USB stick and the storage location of the file. Then right-click on the file and select “Copy”. Then right-click on an empty field in the USB stick and select “Paste”.
These were our three options on the topic of “How to drag something onto a USB stick”. We hope we were able to help you and that you enjoyed the first part of our Computer Basics series!
